things i've learned today

1. price does not always determine quality - but it definitely does when the product is a paintbrush.

2. raw broccoli actually tastes better without ranch dip on it.

3. as far as i have been able to determine, most of the time when i begin whistling, it is in the key of E.

4. bumblebees are really pretty when they are dead in a jar for me to judge.

5. i have lost 3 pounds in the past two weeks.

6. after much prayer and time to think about this over the past couple months, i have recognized that when my body begins to feel nervous and tense, i am not walking in the Spirit... and that it is the loss of His freedom that i feel.

7. you really can get burned when the sun is behind clouds.

8. watching a bird slowly and determinedly begin to build her nest is perhaps one of the most humbling and beautiful things i've witnessed this past week.

9. no matter what my mother says, just because it looks good on them, does not mean that it looks good on me.

10. his eyes match his ball cap. perfectly.
