intentions
food network is cruel. it is 11:45 p.m.

my plan for today was to wake up at 7:30 and begin homework. i know - sick, right? but i was all excited about finally getting some work done. i was going to treat myself to some fast-food breakfast, and then let the studying commence. i was going to study study study all day, at some point take a shower, and then hang out with the boy later in the evening.
... intentions are hilarious.
i woke up at 9:00. after rolling out of bed confused, i threw on my glasses and some flip flops, and headed to sonic. such a beauty, let me tell you. a knockout, let's be honest. at least i remembered to take out my retainer.
somehow, by 9:45, i was back in bed. asleep. i woke up at 11:00, once again, somewhat confused. i had no clue i was so tired. apparently.
for the next two hours, the apartment escalated to increasingly higher levels of cleanliness. i destroyed cobwebs, washed dishes, vacuumed, did laundry, cleaned my shower, and took out the trash. i am also happy to report that my checkbook is now balanced, all emails have been responded to, nails have been newly painted, and my ipod is fully charged.
i will spare you the rest of the details.
only 6 hours of studying occurred today. that is probably 6 hours short of what i had intended, honestly. i did not end up hanging out with the boy - but while sitting in the kroger parking lot talking to him on the phone, i saw a korean family hauling two shopping carts full of 2-liter cokes into the back of their SUV. at 10:42 at night.
i got a lot done today, and yet i got nothing done. i screwed several things up today, but a lot of things also feel fixed as i'm laying here, about to go to sleep for the second time today.
something about reading 1 Peter earlier tonight made it all worthwhile. or maybe it was the phonecall with the boy. actually... i'm thinking it was probably seeing that korean family hauling 2-liter cokes.
definitely an interesting day, despite all my uninteresting intentions.
