rise and fall, continue

feel this rise and fall

as breath is taken,

life continues -

for at least a moment

longer,

breath is borrowed

death refused.

though my questions

lie unanswered,

still my heartbeat -

you've resumed.

all this love and

longing for it,

has not been

a trial in vain -

rather hoping for

its forming has

coursed life

into these veins.

and to say that

life is nothing

without Love

will been my claim.

so rise and fall

continue,

life be borrowed,

death, refused -

and may mercy

lie upon me...
